Loch Tay & Killin
The Falls of Dochart, village pubs and one of Scotland's most beautiful lochs, minutes from the site.
The Area
Wester Lix sits near Killin, in the north of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park — around ninety minutes from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and a world away from both.
Wester Lix · Killin · Loch Tay
Killin sits at the western tip of Loch Tay, where the Falls of Dochart tumble through the village. It's one of the National Park's quieter corners — well-loved, well-served and busy in every season, but never overrun.
Nest sits at Wester Lix, nestled in the Dochart forest, with views up to the hills, wrapped in the trees and dark enough at night to see the Milky Way with the naked eye.
On the doorstep
The National Park draws visitors every month of the year — and the area around Wester Lix gives them reasons to keep coming back.
The Falls of Dochart, village pubs and one of Scotland's most beautiful lochs, minutes from the site.
Wester Lix sits directly on the Heart 200 touring route, drawing visitors through Perthshire and the Trossachs all year.
The long-distance walking route passes close by — seven days of walkers looking for a good night's rest.
Ben Lawers, Ben More and a string of summits within easy reach, plus low-level walking and cycling from the door.
Wild swimming, paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing on Loch Tay and the rivers that feed it.
Genuinely dark night skies in the National Park — stargazing from the bath, the bed or by the fire.
Getting here
Guests arrive via the A85, turning off near Lix Toll — a bonnie drive, and one that feels like a reset. The road narrows, the trees close in, and in moments, you’ve left the city behind for open skies, fresh air and the quiet of the forest.
